A perfect dish for the cooler weather, this Chili in a Bread Bowl recipe from Pitt Boys BBQ has everything you could want. Spice, smoke, and the perfect meat to bean ratio.

Instructions

  1. Chop your green pepper, red pepper, and red onion
  2. Using the Side Burner on our Triple Play, cook ground beef with diced garlic and jalapenos in a large pot
  3. Once the beef is cooked, add the 4 cans of diced tomatoes and green chilies
  4. Add the 4 cans of beans and mix to combine
  5. Add the 5 McCormick seasoning packets
  6. Now that your sausages are charred, slice them all and add to the pot
  7. Simmer for 30-45 minutes
  8. Hollow out your bread loaf with a paring knife to create the bowls
  9. Serve in the bread bowls and top with shredded cheese and raw red onions (or whatever else you like!)

Pitt Tips:

  1. Spice it up a little more by adding your favorite hot sauce, we like Tapatio!
  2. Add even more flavor by adding in your favorite beer!
