Havarti n’ Cheddar Jalapeño Poppers

    Jalapeños: 9-11, sliced into boats

    Havarti Cheese: 8 oz., sliced into strips
  • 3
    Shredded Cheddar Cheese: 16 oz., sprinkle to taste
  • 4
    Sweet & Spicy Seasoning: to taste

Mix up your popper game with this simple, easy and tasty recipe.


Items Needed

  1. Pans: 2, drip pan use & cooking use
  2. Char-Griller Grills Super Pro® 2525
  3. Lump Charcoal & Apple Wood Chunk


  1. Slice jalapeños through the middle to make it boat shaped.
  2. Using a spoon remove the pith and seeds to create room for the cheese. Tip: If you like heat then leave some seeds behind. Seeds provide the heat.
  3. Fill jalapenos with Havarti cheese slices.
  4. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  5. Season with Sweet & Spicy Seasoning.
  6. Place in the refrigerator while grill is being prepped and warmed up.

Cook Directions

  1. Fire up the Char-Griller Grills Super Pro 2525 to 360°F with lump charcoal in the main grilling area. Place an apple wood chunk on top of the cooking grill grate over the fire for a lingering smoke.
  2. Place the Poppers in the grill on the side opposite of the fire & wood.
  3. Rotate after 15 minutes
  4. Cook for a total of 30 minutes and remove from heat
  5. Enjoy!
