Ingredients

    1 Tbsp Olive Oil

    1/2 Of a Sweet Onion (Minced)

    3 Garlic Cloves (Minced)
  • 4
    1 Cup Cooked Quinoa
  • 5
    2 Cups Walnuts
  • 6
    1 15 Oz Can Of Pinto Beans
  • 7
    1/4 Cup Italian Seasoning
  • 8
    1/3 Cup Breadcrumbs
  • 9
    1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 10
    1 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 11
    1 Tsp Cumin
  • 12
    1 Tsp Salt

Veggie burgers get a bad rap, but when you make 'em yourself, the result is truly undefeated. GrillinGuy is showing us exactly how to make it happen!

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. 
  2. Add onion and sauté until soften
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds
  4. Set aside in a large bowl
  5. In food processor, add walnuts and pulse until crumb-like consistency. Add to bowl with onions
  6. Mash pintos and add to bowl
  7. Add in quinoa, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, chili powder, cumin, bread crumbs and salt
  8. Form into patties and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for an hour
  9. When ready to cook, preheat grill to medium high heat. Add patties and cook until brown on both sides
  10. Layer your bun with favorite toppings and enjoy
