Certified Creole BBQ Talks All About His Favorite Place to Buy Local

Char-Griller Ambassador James Llorens of Certified Creole BBQ told us all about a local shop in his neighborhood turning out delicious food to grill.

On Friday after work I visited a local gem named the Wurst Kitchen. It’s a local sausage shop in Aurora, Illinois that have been making their homemade sausages on site in the same location since 1895.

I pass it up every day driving to and from work. They have various sausages from Bratwursts, Italian sausages & even a pizza bratwurst. They have plenty to choose from and it’s always a tough decision.

This is a place I often go to since my Wife told me about it a few years ago. When you walk in, it’s like going back in time. They have a stand that’s open in the summer that’s outside in the back of the store where they sell cooked sausages and they also have a stand at the local Farmers market. But it’s just a small little store with tons of history and high quality sausages.

I like trying new sausages when I go because the options seem endless, this time around I went with a pizza bratwurst, a kicker bratwurst, mushroom n’ Swiss, breakfast sausages and I had some of their tasty hot dogs still in my freezer from a few weeks ago.

I made a pizza bratwurst on French bread with marinara sauce & melted mozzarella cheese. Talk about yummy. Next on the list may be the taco Sausage or the gyro sausage.

This place is a must try. If I ever make it down to Atlanta, I’ll be sure to bring the Char-Griller team some. I’m lucky to have this place nearby. It’s off the charts good and a one of a kind
