Wings on the AKORN Auto Kamado

Salt & Vinegar Wings are Next Level! This was a highly requested recipe that I added my twist to. Not sure why I took so long to make these since Salt & Vinegar chips are my favorite chips. These definitely did not disappoint!!

    Preheat smoker or oven to 250˚F.

    Combine all sauce ingredients in a jar and shake well till sugar and salt is dissolved.



    • 1/2 cup Distilled white vinegar
    • 1/2 cup Cane vinegar or Apple cider vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon Granulated white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
    • 1 tablespoon @Hidden.valley Dry Ranch Seasoning
    • 2 tablespoons @osmosalt White Flakey Salt

    Pat dry wings and place in a zip-top bag.



    • 2 pounds Wings

    Pour in 3/4 of sauce and mix well.

    Let marinate for 3-4 hours. Overnight is preferred.

    Once marinated take wings out and pat dry.

    Place in a large bowl and add baking powder and kosher salt. Mix well.



    • 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt

    Place on a wire rack. Use a baking sheet under wire rack if doing this in a oven.

    Smoke wings for 30 minutes to help remove moisture.

    After 30 minutes turn up smoker or oven to 425˚F and cook for 20-30 minutes until golden brown or when wings reach 175 ˚F and above. I go to 190-200˚F for extra crispy wings.

    Place wings into a large bowl.

    Drizzle in most of leftover marinade (not all), sprinkle on more flakey salt and mix.



    • Fresh chives, chopped, to taste
    • 2 tablespoons @osmosalt White Flakey Salt

    Top wings with more sauce, salt and fresh chives.
