I was always a die hard fan of food, especially southern cooking, true down home breakfast, and delicious BBQ. Between the family I had here in Ohio, and the family down south in Kentucky and Tennessee, I was always eating something good. I loved going out to eat and trying new restaurants as well. It wasn't until a few years ago that I decided I wanted to start learning to grill for myself. I started learning basic, direct-heat charcoal grilling about 5 years ago. Then in 2016 my wife gifted me my first smoker for Christmas. After my first cook, my passion was born. I fell in love with the entire process. From there I dedicated every weekend to getting better and learning from every cook. Since then I have used many smokers and rubs, have done many experiments, and have enjoyed meeting and interacting with people who carry the same passion for BBQ as I do. Let the good times (and smoke) roll!

Favorite Activity:
Going to my son's baseball games, spending quality time with my wife and family, a savagely competitive game of H-O-R-S-E, and of course smoking up unique barbecue in the backyard.
