Big Game Recipe Round Up
If you haven’t heard yet, there is this little football game happening in Char-Griller’s hometown of Atlanta this week. The entire office is excited because even though our Atlanta Falcons didn’t make it this year, we know that the Big Game means one thing: Big Snacks.
There isn’t quite anything like the snacks that we indulge in during the Big Game. Between the 2 billion chicken wings, 14 billion burgers, and 4 million pizzas Americans eat on this day every year, we’re serious about our game day food.
If you haven’t checked out the Char-Griller recipe section yet, there are lots of great recipes from members of #TeamCharGriller. From BBQ and burgers to chili and desserts, there is something for everyone in the archives.
In celebration of the upcoming game, we’re doing a roundup of our 5 favorite recipes for game day.
1. Creole Smokin’ Fried Wings
It’s just not game day without wings. These fried wings get their kick from a mixture of creole seasoning and buffalo sauce. A combination of smoking and frying the wings gives them their unique and delicious flavor.
2. BBQ Burnt Ends
Want a crow-pleaser? BBQ Burnt Ends are the way to go. Your patience will pay off as you smoke your pork belly for 4 hours when your guests and family can’t stop complimenting your food all night. Make sure to set aside some extra just in case they are devoured right when you put them out.
3. Bacon Wrapped Kielbasa Bites
Bacon makes everything better. Pressed for time, but still want something off the grill? These Bacon Bites start in the oven and finish in the grill. Serve them with BBQ sauce for dipping. Perfect for picky eaters who love bacon and food they can eat with their hands.
4. Smoked Chex Mix
The Big Game is just one of those events that demands snack food. If you’ve been looking for a creative twist on a classic, this Smoked Chex Mix is perfect. We recommend making a double batch because this will be gone before you know it.
5. Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
Want to end with something sweet? This Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie is a giant crowd pleaser. It also happens to be giant in size. If you are feeding a crowd with a sweet tooth this will hit the spot.
BONUS: 5 Minute Avocado Dip
It's just not a party without guacamole. This 5-Minute Avocado Dip is fast to make and delicious with chips. Whip it up right before game time for optimal freshness!
