Smoked Carolina Turkey

    10-12 lb. turkey

    3 Tbsp. red pepper flakes
  • 3
    ¼ C. paprika
  • 4
    ¼ C. ground mustard
  • 5
    ½ C. brown sugar
  • 6
    2 Tbsp. coarse black pepper
  • 7
    2 Tbsp. Kosher salt
  • 8
    2 Tbsp. melted butter

Give this turkey recipe a try at your next Thanksgiving feast! It will not let you down. 


1. Pour melted butter over turkey, or use marinade injector to inject butter into turkey

2. Mix red pepper flakes, paprika, ground mustard, brown sugar, black pepper and salt in small bowl to create seasoning mix

3. Rub turkey all over with seasoning mix

4. Place turkey on grill over indirect heat at 250°F or use Smokin' Stone

5. Inject turkey with its own juices every other hour

6. Cook time is 1 hour per pound or until turkey reaches internal temp of 165˚F
