Cherry Chipotle Buffalo Wings

Ingredients
- 1 4 lbs. chicken wings
- 2 14 oz. bottle cherry Chipotle BBQ sauce
- 3 3 Tsp. dried minced onion
- 4 2 Tsp. Chipotle chili powder
- 5 1 ½ Tsp. garlic powder
- 6 1 ½ Tsp. chili powder
- 7 ½ Tsp. smoked paprika
- 8 2 C. sour cream
- 9 1 C. blue cheese salad dressing
- 10 1 C. blue cheese, crumbled
- 11 1 C. green onions, thinly sliced
- 12 Salt and pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Dipping sauce
1. Combine 1 Tsp rub, sour cream, salad dressing, crumbled blue cheese and green onions together in a medium bowl and mix well.
2. Refrigerate at least 2 hours to blend flavors.
Buffalo wings
1. Rinse chicken wings and dry with paper towel.
2. Combine dried minced onion, Chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, chili powder, smoked paprika and salt and pepper, to taste, into a small bowl and mix well. Reserve 1 Tsp. to mix with dipping sauce. Season chicken wings generously with rub.
3. Place wings on the grill, equally spaced in rows, to smoke for 30 minutes when grill temperature reaches 250°F.
4. After letting wings smoke, increase grill temperature to 350°F and cook wings until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
5. Brush on sauce during the last 15 minutes, flipping once and coating evenly every 5 minutes.
