McCormick's Firecracker Burger
"Ignite a burst of flavor in hamburgers with this vibrant blend of seasonings." Original recipe yield: 4 servings. Courtesy McCormick® & Company.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick® Parsley Flakes
  • 3/4 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® White Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Red Pepper
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), seeded and cut in rings
  • vegetable oil
  • 4 slices Cheddar, Monterey Jack or American cheese
  • 4 Kaiser rolls or hamburger rolls
  • Lettuce

Directions:

  1. Mix together ground beef, onion and seasonings. Shape mixture into 4 burgers. Brush pepper rings with oil.
  2. Grill burgers and peppers over medium heat 8-12 minutes or until burgers are well-done (160 degrees F internal temperature), turning once.
  3. Add cheese to top of each burger for one minute before cooking is completed. Place on rolls. Top with pepper rings and lettuce.

The Works Steak Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Dill Weed
  • 1 medium onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 hamburger rolls
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, Montreal Steak Seasoning, ketchup, bacon and dill weed. Shape into four patties.
  2. Brush onion slices with oil. Place patties and onion slices on grill over medium heat. Grill 8-12 minutes or until burgers are well-done (160 degrees F internal temperature) and onion is tender, turning once.
  3. Add cheese slices to each burger one minute before cooking is completed. Place on hamburger rolls. Top with lettuce and tomato.

Backyard Black Bean Burgers
"It's time to get grilling with these vegetarian burgers that are sure to add a slightly spicy kick." Original recipe yield: 6 servings. Courtesy Bush's® Best Beans

Ingredients:

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans BUSH'S BEST Black Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat or all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup chunky salsa
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Hamburger buns

Directions:

  1. Place beans in food processor; process until fairly smooth. Add flour, cornmeal, salsa, cumin and garlic salt. Process until well combined. Spoon mixture into 6 balls on a large plate and refrigerate at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours before cooking.
  2. Heat barbecue grill or ridged grill pan over medium heat. Coat grill or pan lightly with oil. Form each ball into a 4-inch patty about 1/2-inch thick. Place the patties on the grill or in pan and cook until browned and heated through, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  3. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings with a side of BUSH's Baked Beans.

Sizzlin' Steak Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 slices Gouda cheese
  • 4 hamburger rolls

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill.
  2. Mix steak seasoning into meat and form meat into 4 equal-size patties.
  3. Grill patties 5-6 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Add a slice of cheese to each patty, 1 minute before cooking is completed. Serve on a roll.
